Amy S. Holmes, Esq.

Amy S. Holmes is a highly regarded attorney with twenty years of legal experience. Ms. Holmes started her practice, which is focused on Trusts and Estates, in 2007 with the goal of providing top-quality estate planning and legal services with a caring and personal touch. Ms. Holmes takes great pride in her ability to make the process of planning one’s estate a manageable and comforting experience.

Ms. Holmes graduated 1st in her class of 300 students from New York Law School in June of 2002 (J.D. summa cum laude), where she was the Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the New York Law School Law Review. In addition to the Trustees’ Prize for the Highest Average, Ms. Holmes was the recipient of several other honors and awards including the Professor Joseph T. Arenson Award for Excellence in Wills and Decedents’ Estates and the Anthony E. Jannace Award for Outstanding Achievement. She received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University (B.A. 1997).

Prior to forming her practice, Ms. Holmes was an associate in both the Estates & Personal department of the prestigious and renowned law firm Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP in New York City, as well as the Trusts & Estates department of the respected local law firm of Bleakley, Platt & Schmidt, LLP.  Ms. Holmes also spent one year serving as Law Clerk to the Honorable William C. Conner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Holmes resides in Westchester County, New York with her husband and their two children.  She is an active member of the community and an enthusiastic volunteer. Ms. Holmes was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco, in Mount Kisco, New York and she has been a member of the Junior League of Northern Westchester for the past thirteen years.

Kate Benett,Of Counsel

Kate practices trusts and estate law, with an emphasis on planning. Kate began her legal career at Simpson Thacher & Barlett LLP in New York City where she was an Associate in the Corporate and Personal Planning Departments. She later moved to the Trusts & Estates Department of Kaye Scholer LP (now Arnold & Porter).

Kate graduated cum laude from Georgetown University. She received a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree from Columbia University’s School of Law and School of Business. At the Law School, Kate was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an Articles Editor of the Columbia Business Law Review.  

Kate lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with her husband and three boys. She served as a Trustee of Eagle Hill School in Greenwich, Connecticut from 2019-2022 where she was on the Audit Committee, Governance Committee, and Human Resources Committee.
